HOOD getting ready for a 6 month high, Longshot List off to a promising start

We can talk about the resilience of the equity market but ultimately it is earnings. Earnings are always the story. Earnings pay for a lot in the USA. With the unemployment rate 4% it is curious why we need the government to spend so much since the private sector works well.

We got our first trade off Friday in the Flash 10 so I have a new group of Roomies to navigate the markets with.

Hannah and I did a couple of presos over the last week and we did discuss various factors that get a stock on the Longshot List. That list is available if you grab the video.

With VIX doing odd things for now, see my Vol Man this weekend, this is a great time with stocks at all time highs driven by Big Tech to work on the second leg of my option trading strategy.

Let’s see what that is

Long term long and short term short is a good way to go

That does not mean toss all your money away on being short in the short term. Setting up trades to be short when you need it is something that folks can learn at Option Pit. Ultimately, just saying the market is overvalued and never getting long owning stocks or long term options would miss out on massive gains.

Part of what I want on my Longshots list is an earnings turnaround story. Robinhood Markets Inc(Ticker: HOOD) has started to monetize the customers they have and have created an earnings story that is outside the Big Houses that younger investors don’t trust. HOOD is on my Longshots list and is looking very good this year with real earnings growth.
