This week is going to be remembered as one of the worst weeks for the United States in its history.
I would point out that this is all taking place on the 99th anniversary of the torching of Greenwood in Tulsa (what was then called Black Wall Street).
If you don’t know what happened there, over the course of a couple of days, a thriving Black Community was burned down by the KKK and its sympathizers (give it a read here).
With everything going on, it is easy to be angry, scared, or sad.
It is easy to judge, call names, label, or write off.
Many probably feel a sense of helplessness or hopelessness.
You do not have to feel that way, because you can help.
All you need to do is open up your network.
If you are legitimately interested in helping improve the lives of young talented people of color, check out the Greenwood Project (full disclosure I am on the board).
We help connect talented students from disadvantaged neighborhoods, with professional internships working for people like…me.
You can watch a video about it here.
‘Stick to Trading’ you might say.
I won’t and I can’t.
Not when I can make a difference.
Can I go into a rough neighborhood and clean it up overnight?
No I cannot.
But, can I open up the world to a person or group of people that have not had a chance to see what trading and finance is all about?
Yes I can.
I share my years of experience with clients, and the readers of this email every day.
When clients finally see the ‘light’ on how to make money trading options, that aha moment is one of my best feelings.
Imagine the feeling of seeing the aha moment when someone who is 18 or 19 years old, suddenly realized how much opportunity they have in front of them….for the rest of their lives?
If my son in 10 years says to me ‘Dad I want to go into finance.’ I can provide him with dozens of opportunities.
When I take on a Greenwood intern, I am not only teaching them about finance, I am opening up that same network.
Many of us have a network.
Many of us see what is happening and do not know what to do.
Open your network of people to someone who needs your help.
That is how you can make a difference.
Your Only Option,
