Good Morning Shoppers,
I hope no one is hungover on green beer this morning.
Did you know the healthiest beer you can drink is Guinness?
(Get out of here with your Michelob extreme double ultra light infusions.)
Most beers provide antioxidants, B vitamins, fiber, silicon (good for your bones), iron and prebiotics.
Well, Guinness has more of these good things than most beers.
It also has fewer calories (125 per 12 ounces) and less alcohol (4.2% vs 5%) than regular beer.
To make Guinness, they use a process called nitrogenisation, which combines nitrogen and carbon dioxide and gives it its velvety texture.
This carbonation makes you feel fuller, too.
The barley provides ferulic acid that improves immunity and fiber that lowers your bad cholesterol.
Hops are anti-inflammatory, which we know is just about the cause of every ailment.
So think about having a Guinness at tonight’s happy hour … I know I am.
And we can cheers to my latest trading idea!
Doji Do
Check out the doji in the Walmart (Ticker: WMT) stock chart:
WMT has had a nice run up after that hammer on Feb. 24. It went from $132 to $147.
I think WMT is ready for a pullback signaled by the doji and confirmation yesterday.
Looking at the puts, I like the April 14 expiration:
If WMT opens and trades lower, I will be a buyer of the 145/135 put spread and pay $2.45-$2.55.
The 145 puts are trading an implied volatility of 18.57 and the 145 puts have an IV of 22.64.
It’s my favorite kind of spread – buying the lower vol and selling the higher vol.
I will take my loss if this spread trades below $1.95 and take profits around $4.
I think WMT can trade back down to $137.
Trade Review
In iShares Silver Trust (Ticker: SLV) I am still long the Apr14 23.50/27.50 call spread. SLV has bounced off support and looks to be heading back up to $25.
Thanks for Reading … See You Next Tuesday!
