A MAJOR event occurred in the market this week.
It was not an economic release.
It was not an earnings announcement.
This event had nothing to do with Oil prices.
It had nothing to do with Kim Jung Un either.
What happened was a fundamental shift in market volatility!
On the week the S&P 500 was actually down. It closed 2875 last week, 2835 this week.
At the same time volatility COLLAPSED…NOTABLY Friday.
The VIX index, which measures market fear, was down on the week, by a significant margin. It closed over 38 last week, under 36 this week.
This is WITH Oil futures trading NEGATIVE!!
