Yo Pit Crazies
I did a 5 Stocks NOT to Own webinar last week. You can catch the video here.
What concerns me right now is not the stocks I picked, although rumors of Coinbase Inc (Ticker: COIN) not returning cash was not welcome news for the stock on Monday.
But if Big Tech is not leading, what is?
As much as I think Apple (Ticker: AAPL) is a great company, the multiple expansions I talked about in last week’s webinar are coming to an end.
Stocks are pricing a real deflation right now. Don’t believe me?
Check this out.
Lithium Might Be the Most In-Demand Commodity Out There
With all the talk about electric vehicles you would think that Lithium demand would be through the roof.
And it is but the stock prices don’t reflect that.
Albemarle Corp (Ticker: ALB) is down around $90 from the peak in 2021 when the Green New Deal was on the table.
It also pays a nice dividend and earnings are growing rapidly from demand. This could go in my Div+ Portfolio this week.
Two-year ALB chart with one-day candles
Take a look at any commodity stock out there. The Material Select Sector SPDR Fund (Ticker: XLB) is another one. We are not making cars without materials, and the market has seemingly already priced in the recession.
Material stocks here are paying great dividends and are selling at pre-2021 levels.
The stuff that makes stuff just might be the next market leader.
The Rundown
Power Gains
Bill closed the S&P Biotech ETF (Ticker: XBI) July call spreads for a 25% return and we are sitting on the SPY put spreads.
Big Money Shopper
Mark and Licia tag-teamed ChargePoint Holding Inc. (Ticker: CHPT) July 15 13.5-strike puts and closed them for a 76% gain.
