Government Stakes Are Shaking Up the Market. Who’s Next?

Hey Influence Traders,

I was recently in DC for the AUSA conference, one of the largest defense industry trade shows, and I’ve got some interesting insights to share.

Despite concerns that the shutdown would keep crowds light, the place was packed. High-ranking officers were everywhere, lots of foreign dignitaries walked the floor, and even the Secretary of the Army made an appearance.

The conversations happening in DC boardrooms and the halls of Washington give me unique insight into which companies might be next in line for government capital.

Between my contacts on the Hill, relationships with company leadership, and consultants working to advance critical mineral concerns, I’m getting a real-time read on where opportunities are emerging.

Critical minerals are where you want to be

The government’s public-private partnership approach (making direct investments and creating pricing floors) gives American companies time to become viable and take back supply chains that China strategically stole from us.

Companies like MP Materials (MP), Lithium Americas (LAC), and USA Rare Earth (USAR) got a big boost when the government bought stakes to accelerate domestic supply chains and counter the China threat. These pricing floors insulate American startups from China’s pricing manipulation tactics.

My history with USAR goes back to 2019 when I did early banking work on the stock. I’m not an insider, but I have friendships and stay connected with leadership there.

Their magnet manufacturing plant in Oklahoma is continuously ramping up production, catching the government’s eye.

The stock shot up a couple weeks ago when its latest CEO from Siemens announced it were in line for potential government funding after a White House meeting.

At Capitol Gains, we’ve been capturing gains as it got overinflated, but I’m watching for good entry points when valuations come back down to earth.

American Resources Corporation (AREC) is another rare earth play with fascinating technology. It can recycle coal waste and old battery waste to extract rare earth at high purities for cutting edge magnets.

That’s exactly the kind of innovation the U.S. government loves.

In the uranium space, Fluor Corporation (FLR) is making big moves lately that I’m tracking closely.

Two stocks I’ve traded successfully at Capitol Gains – Red Cat Holdings (RCAT) and AeroVironment (AVAV) – caught my attention at the conference with full showings and big-ticket items on display.

What makes this even more interesting is that both have entered a strategic development partnership, acting like a skunk works for high-tech development.

AeroVironment announced the launch of a bleeding edge drone at the AUSA conference that fills a niche the government has been seeking.

Both stocks are strong individually but together they could lift even higher.

I’m also researching copper, lithium, rare earth, and uranium companies to identify the next wave of government funding recipients.

The key is timing our re-entry when these stocks are cheaper and the government signals where its next funding wave is heading.

While I’m always happy to discuss these opportunities, Andrew Giovinazzi and I dive deeper and give our Capitol Gains members timely and actionable ways to turn these opportunities into the kinds of plays that do very well.
