Hi Shoppers,
Well, we finally made it.
My husband rented a Penske from South Texas to drive our "stuff" up to Dallas/Fort Worth. Once he had the truck completely packed, he came out to the driveway to find a flat tire. Penske came out to fix it.
We spent a few days in Fort Worth for my son's graduation from TCU. He graduated Cum Laude and didn't even tell us!
Then we packed the truck and the car with more "stuff" and headed for Florida. Until the air conditioning went out on the car.
We thought about powering through without air, channeling the pioneers who forged west in covered wagons. Thank goodness we chickened out, because we hit Georgia in a torrential downpour.
But even before that, after our first gas stop, Scott realized he couldn't turn the truck off or it wouldn't start again. So he kept it running for the entire 13-hour drive.
Once we landed at our overnight stop in Thomasville, GA, he parked the truck and shut it off. Sure enough, it wouldn't start back up. Had to call Penske once again.
They came out in the pouring rain after 10:00 PM. Luckily the battery cables were just loose. Boy, was that guy relieved.
The last leg went smoothly. Upon returning the truck to Penske in Naples, they told Scott to always rent directly from them and not through Home Depot, because Home Depot doesn't maintain the trucks as well.
There's your tip of the day.
Your tip on the stock market: we are going higher. Watch for the S&P 500 futures to trade up to $7,585 and then $7,600, with support at $7,438.50 and $7,379.50.
Thank You For Reading. See You Next Tuesday,
