All News Is Good News!

So Amazon.com Inc (Ticker: AMZN) reported a loss for the 2nd quarter in a row.

But, hey, they made it up on revenue, and the retailing giant sounded upbeat.

If you are asking me, all you have to do is sound optimistic these days.

Two quarters on negative GDP growth not a recession!

Runaway inflation is just transitory! Government spending bills, not inflationary!

Well, I have a chart for you that Griff laid on me last night …

It is a whopper — and dont believe inflation is over.

Commodity Prices-to-the-S&P 500 Is At A Recent Low

You don’t have to believe me, but believe the chart below

The Russian oil crisis is, as the name suggests, Russian-led.

Higher oil prices are simple … There’s a lot of demand and not enough domestic supply.

Look at commodity stocks like Vale SA (Ticker: VALE) and Freeport McMoRan Corp. (Ticker: FCX).  All near 2022 lows …

And therein lies the opportunity we see in Capitol Gains.

Oil and commodities will stay strong as many got a burnt finger bidding up both during the early Russian invasion.

It’s our contention that Russia is not leaving Ukraine and the West will have to adjust.

The Rundown

Cap Gains

I closed my long Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (Ticker: TSM) and short Invesco QQQ Trust (Ticker: QQQ) trade today for a 10% gain. That last four trades were closed for a win (or up currently in Canejo Corp (Ticker: CCJ).)

Vol Trade Club

I closed a Cboe Volatility Index (Ticker: VIX) stangle up for a 12% gain in one day.
