Hey There Income Hunter,
It’s game-on, folks.
I bet President Biden throws a hissy fit at home this weekend over the high producer price index number that came in this week.
In fact, he’s so ticked about what he’s paying to fill his 1967 Corvette, that he’s selling the US emergency oil stash in hopes of lowering gas prices.
Get this … He’s offloading 26 million barrels just to make sure prices don’t go even higher this summer.
Talk about robbing Peter to pay Paul!
Biden is reducing our emergency stash because he knows voters blame HIM for paying $10 for a dozen eggs. More on that here.
But as CornPop can attest, the Prez won’t go down without a fight.
Biden’s Plan to Win Re-Election
Higher prices are not making American voters happy.
If Biden doesn’t find a way to get prices under control he is toast in ‘24.
So what can he do? Well, there is a lot going on behind the scenes …
It’s kind of of like the man behind the curtain controlling the Wizard of OZ
What you see is never reality.
It’s the same way with the Fed, the banks and the government …
Noone is happy when they have less income AND the prices are rising.
So, it’s all hands on deck for Biden’s team to do whatever it takes, including:
- Change the calculator of inflation (CPI) to make it appear that it is declining.
- Change parts of the job market calculation to make it look strong so Americans don’t fear losing their jobs.
- Sell the emergency stash of oil to lower gas prices.
- Appoint the second-in-charge at the Fed, Lael Brainard, to be a voice for Biden and get the Fed to help him get re-elected.
What’s the Trade?
Biden will make sure money flows to keep the markets operating efficiently and help consumers by forgiving student loans and holding oil prices down.
The one area he doesn’t have control over is prices of things like copper, silver and lithium. Those are needed in a green energy world that is in agreement that driving electric cars is a No. 1 priority.
Real stuff needed around the world is where you want to invest some of your wealth. There is limited supply and plenty of demand due to the green energy move.
The chart below shows the US copper Fund ETF (CPER) and, after correcting, it may be starting a new trend higher.
Buying a bit with excess cash when you have it will help you build long-term wealth and help you sleep well at night, too.
Stay tuned for more ideas next week and in the meantime …
