Hi Shoppers,
Since I have had several people from out of town ask if we were the lottery winners, I need to make the announcement:
It wasn’t us!
The winning ticket was sold less than seven miles from our house in Des Plaines, at a Speedway gas station for $2.
The jackpot total was $1.337 billion.
There was only one winning ticket.
If that ticket holder chooses the one lump sum payment he/she will receive $780.5 million.
After taxes they will take home around $453 million.
This is the second largest jackpot in U.S. history.
The largest took place in 2018 in South Carolina with a $1.537 billion jackpot.
“For many men, the acquisition of wealth does not end their troubles, it only changes them.”
That quote was from Seneca, who was the Roman Emperor Nero’s tutor.
Is it possible to have too much money? (Nah!)
And what is the state doing with all that added revenue?
Let’s see if we can’t make some dollars on these two trade ideas.
McDouble It
I have a couple of charts to look at …
The first one is McDonald’s (Ticker: MCD):
Friday’s candle could quite possibly be a doji, which would indicate a change in this uptrend.
If MCD opens and trades lower, which would be our confirmation, I think MCD could trade back down to $256.80.
My second chart is Quantumscape (Ticker: QS):
It has held that support line at $10.15. It looks to me like it is ready to trade higher.
The level of resistance is $12.06 and then $13.30.
Trade Review
I still think Carnival (TIcker: CCL) can trade higher from here. Looking at $10.50 for the first line of resistance.
Thanks for Reading … See You Next Tuesday.
