Hi Shoppers,
I need to be brief, as it is my husband’s birthday!
This is the first year I haven’t bought him a card.
Is that weird? Or bad?
It feels weird.
We agreed not to buy cards for each other anymore.
We gave up buying gifts long ago.
My goodness, we sound like awful people!
We will celebrate 27 years of wedded bliss in November, so there have been many gifts in the past.
How much does one need?
Besides, what do you buy?
We just went through a purging of junk out of our house, so those gifts just add to the needless stuff we collect.
We will go out for a nice dinner.
That’s good enough, right?
Maybe for the next rounded number (60, yikes!) we will take a really nice birthday trip.
We can talk about it at dinner.
Now for some trade ideas.
Crude Intentions
I am seeing a pretty mighty hammer in the crude oil futures formed yesterday:
I would watch these today for confirmation that they are trading higher than yesterday.
Haliburton (Ticker: HAL) also has a very nice bullish hammer:
HAL has traded down from $43.99 on June 6, which was a shooting star candle, to $26.32 yesterday.
I think HAL can trade back to $28.65.
The earnings report is due Tuesday morning before the open, so I am looking for a quick cheap shot expiring today:
I would pay $.30-$.33 for the July 15 27.50 calls.
Be sure to wait for that confirmation of HAL opening and trading higher before hopping in.
Thanks for Reading … See You Next Tuesday.
