Hi Shoppers,
I recently went to a McDonald's with my parents for breakfast. I honestly can't remember my last visit.
I do know I've made my last trip.
I hated it!
You had to order from the kiosk (here I go showing my age!). Not one person came around to help. The filthy drink station had no ice or straws.
Overall, a horrible experience. I'll never go back.
Believe it or not, I used to spend a lot of time in McDonald's.
When I worked there throughout high school, management ran the place very well. The motto went, "If you can lean, you can clean." And boy, we kept that place spotless.
On hands and knees, we'd scrub under the metal ring at the base of every table stand!
We stayed two hours after closing to break everything down and scrub it.
They instilled a great work ethic in us young kids.
What I saw at this McDonald's appalled me. It saddened me, too. I spent four years in that institution and always felt proud to say I worked there.
I just hope I walked into a one-off.
On to the markets… Do you believe this rally?
Funny, because I haven't gotten on board yet, and most of the members I talked with on Thursday didn't buy it either.
Take a look at the S&P 500 futures chart:

As you can see, that rally took us right up to our downward-sloping trendline and couldn't trade over it.
The relative strength index did cross 50, a bullish sign, and MACD has just started to turn bullish.
So far tonight, that marks the high for the futures.
To convince me the selling has ended, I need a solid close over 7,700. Preferably over 7,714.
Thank You For Reading … See You Next Tuesday,
Licia Leslie
