Yo Pit Crazies,
So my Fidium Fiber modem died on Wednesday right before Weekly Profit Cycles. Only 1 year ago, a very slick dude walked down my driveway and said I can get a 1 gig fiber optic cable right from the main cable plant or something like that. $50 per year for life for early subscribers. What a deal! Then I started having a modem problem and then it went dark.
To get a new modem to work with the Fidium cable, my new charge would be $150 per month for all of the new security upgrades after hours of wrangling on the phone. I was not happy and ended up having to go back to Xfinity since Fidium would not send me a new modem like the old one. That is not what I signed up for.
I am looking into Starlink and my students said it has been very reliable.
I want reliable.
Right now things in the market are not reliable. Let me tell you why.
Interest rates are going up for no apparent reason. Congressional laziness and dereliction of duty might be a reason. Having the AI behemoth borrowing as much to buy chips as Uncle Sam does to pay grifters might be another.
I heard they dropped new AI chips out of the PCE index.
Congress and the Federal Government are not reliable.
Balance this with how the US economy generally performs. Business activity is ultrahigh and the S&P 500 stocks and companies have never been more profitable. Heck half of the companies that top the S&P 500 were just a twinkle in the eye 25 years ago. And what was there 25 years ago has grown phenomenally.
The US economy is pretty reliable.
As I write this, the US Military has the Strait of Hormuz back up to 80% production. Since Iran is blockaded, they will have to face some harsh decisions.

That should be good for the rest of the world and oil should be cheaper in the long run.
The US military is very reliable.
What this whole dust up in the Middle East is giving us is a skewed market. The AI trade is still mostly intact. Traders are still buying chip stocks but a significant portion of the S&P 500 is trading near year lows. That is a result of Iran in my view. I want a reliable way to catch things when they start to bounce.
So far my Sibyl scanner has grabbed 14 of 15 closed winners and I explain how I came to create it tomorrow at 1PM ET.
In a turbulent year, I call that extremely reliable. There should be a bounce.
Hopefully this was helpful,
Andrew Giovinazzi
