Yo Pit Crazies,
I’m starting to feel like I’m experiencing déjà vu all over again. It’s like something Yogi Berra would say about the current game of Tariff Roulette that’s making the rounds. Now, all the players are sidelined until August 1st – that’s the closest I can pin down after the chaos that caught the market off guard back in early April. Stocks are teetering near all-time highs, while traders anxiously await the next rally.
To make the most of this market, check out this strategy that can help you stay ahead as we await the next big move.
At least for today, the VIX is down by $1.00, and the volatility spike seems to be easing. That’s a win for me, but with the deadline pushed to August, I’m expecting VIX to bottom out around 15.5 by next week. It should still be a solid gain, just not a massive one—though that’s what happens when the goalposts keep shifting.
What’s coming next regarding these shifting goalposts will surprise you.
I locked in a 60% gain on Albemarle Corp (Ticker: ALB) and am still holding onto my shares.
One topic Frank Gregory talks about is the growing demand for raw materials. Ever since the Trump-era tariffs took effect, raw material stocks—except for gold and silver—were largely overlooked. Now, however, the SPDR S&P Metals and Mining ETF (Ticker: XME) is trading at year-highs, though not all mineral stocks have seen the same resurgence.
1 year ALB chart
I’m bullish on ALB because lithium’s demand will remain strong until a better alternative comes along. The stock is still well below its 1-year highs, which is why I included it in this round of Flash 5. Expect more of these hidden gems to emerge as the déjà vu scenario unfolds.
Better to start buying some of them now.
