Hi Shoppers,
Many of you may be Option Shoppers – that’s what I call members of my Option Shopper program – already.
But for those of you who aren’t, I’m hosting an Open House this week!
That’s right, we are inviting anyone who would like to take a peek at our members-only live sessions in Option Shopper – and Andrew Gionvinazzi’s SPYMaster! – to come on in.
Our live sessions add value thanks to the access and education they provide …
And we also explore additional trade ideas that often become very lucrative.
I hold my weekly Shopping Spree every Tuesday at 12:15 ET, during which we talk about the overall markets, learn to read Japanese candlesticks, examine charts for trading opportunities, evaluate new trading ideas and – of course – have an overall good time.
Mark Sebastian and Andrew Giovinazzi regularly join us. Huge bonus!
Andrew holds his live SPYMaster sessions every Wednesday at 3 p.m. ET.
Join his open house this week and learn how to position yourself for all market moves using SPY/VIX strategies.
Andrew just may be THE BEST options educator in the world.
And that’s no exaggeration …
He can teach anything and everything there is to know about options and volatility. (Heck, he wrote the course that his firm used to train Mark Sebastian back in the day!)
This is a don’t-miss event. What have you got to lose? There’s no cost to attend!
So, join us for a peek into our memberships by attending our Open House this week.
Then …
After you sign up, check out my trade idea in Amazon (Ticker: AMZN) …
Welcome to the Jungle
Is Amazon (Ticker:AMZN) ready for a bounce?
I think it could be. Check out the possible doji that formed on Friday:
AMZN has been in a freefall since its earnings report, dropping over 20% in six trading days.
It traded $146.57 on Aug. 16, (creating a beautiful doji) and closed at $90.98 on Friday.
As always, wait for the confirmation of AMZN opening and trading higher for a bit of time Monday morning before hopping into a trade.
Looking at the options, I like the Nov. 18 expiration date. The out-of-the-money calls, as of Friday, are trading at a lower implied volatility than the at-the-money calls.
I would first buy the 91.50 calls and leg into an out-of-the-money call as the stock rallies, lowering my overall cost and risk.
I think AMZN can trade back into the $98-$100 range.
Trade Review
Friday I talked about Halliburton (Ticker: HAL) busting out to the upside.
Sure enough, it gapped open up a dollar and traded up over $2, making it difficult to hop in.
I did not make a trade. I still think it could trade higher and will continue to watch it.
Thanks for Reading … See You Next Tuesday.
