I am absolutely unequivocally not pretending to know a lot about the foundation or history of the US dollar and its status in global markets. 

In fact, I’m embarrassed to admit I know very little.

That’s why I’ve spent a dozen hours over the last week trying to learn as much as possible about the way our current political climate and global influence has developed.
