Yo Pit Crazies,
I grabbed some sweet Peter Lynch quotes so I can get ready to put on my Option Fingerprint hat. What grabbed me about this group of quotes is what they had in common. A stock can always go lower. Keep in mind to beat the S & P 500 the stock only has to go up around 7% per year on average. So a $10 stock needs to go up .70 or a $20 stock up $1.40. Perspective is great.
It takes a smart person to run an oil business. However demand is there so the best time to buy oil assets is when they are cheap.
That is some sweet stuff from the master of growth stocks in the 80s and 90s.
What is the easiest way to find a stock that can go up 50%?
Find one that has done it already.

I don’t need to be first, I just need to be along for the ride. The chart I showed above is Apache Corp (Ticker: APA). Can APA go up 50%? Sure it was there last year. Money flowed into Tech in a big way and ran out of commodities as investors feared a recession.
Peter Lynch said “Don’t follow the hot stock in the hot sector.” If you bought Nvidia Corp at $15 and it is now $150 great. But that next 50% gain in the stock will be tough. I think APA will be easier.
